The School of Law of UCLan Cyprus is pleased to announce the online intensive course on ethical principles and professional values related to technology in the CRoLEV Intensive Course Series entitled “Principles and Values in the Digital World”. This 10-hour hybrid (synchronous and asynchronous) course looks at ethics and values related to technology design, development and use. In order to achieve this aim, it seeks to familiarise students with key concepts e.g., research ethics. In the final part of the course, an assessment exercise will take place where students can show their learning. The course aims to inform students of principles and values that must be considered when designing, developing, and/or using new technologies.

The course will cover the following themes:
• Research Ethics &Technology-focused principles.
• Professional values for IT and other professionals.
• Considerations for operational use of new technologies.
